A member of the armed forces bought his ring from Ingavo's but was unable to propose to his girlfriend due to a deployment to Iraq. Rick Ingavo, the owner of Ingavo's, offered to hand deliver the ring to her where she lived in Virginia. The soldier arranged to call her when the ring was delivered, and Rick even got on one knee while the soldier asked his girlfriend to marry him.

On Nov. 15, 2010, a man in his early 40s robbed the New Millenium Bank on Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick. The suspect was black, 5feet, 10inches tall, 180 pounds and had a moustache. He wore a black hat, safety glasses, a dust mask covering his chin and goggles on top of his head.
